Anyone know how it compares to a PC processor eg athlon, core 2 duo? with the compiler the way it is? it would be interesting to see if it compares to a equivalent priced PC

I think it was MIST, in console hacking presentation, that said that the xenon is equal to a ~1,5Ghz G4 due to the non out-of-order execution or something...

With the current unoptimized code, it performs like ~1.5Ghz G5 (depends on software, of course) per core. With highly-optimized code, it should be much much faster. Tmbinc 19:10, 17 May 2007 (PDT)
